We strive to develop in our students the skills and habits to be independent, self-directed, engaged and motivated learners. We believe that students need to take ownership of their learning. Our learning community works hard to support this for all students.
Port Dalrymple School actively promotes student families as partners and active participants in the learning programs within the school. We encourage parents to value learning and have high expectations of their child’s learning. We also work in partnership with support staff and wider community services to provide meaningful, flexible and responsive learning opportunities for all students. We are fortunate to have a number of provisions that support increase connection to school. Hands on Learning, the School Lunch Program, Breakfast Club and industry partnerships value add to our school experience
Students who live in areas such as Pipers River, Low Head, Weymouth, George Town and Hillwood enrol at Port Dalrymple School.
Port Dalrymple School has a wide range of Department of Education for Children and Young people programs and initiatives including a Trade Training Centre which caters for adult enrolments in VET courses and Years 11 and 12, Launching into Learning and LIFT – Learning in Families Together.
